Hybris

There is a woman who wants to pursue only her career. Once in a time she takes care of her best friend's daughter and suddenly she realized an internal non previously expressed dream by having this epiphany: "I want a child". This could happen to anyone. But for her is a new quest and only another step to climb in her career, the only thing she really cares. So, she decides to get pregnant from superior genes and start looking the best man in Korea who will be only a sperm donor, like a fish passing through falling eggs by in the middle of the ocean. At the end, she got her objective but then the Greek gods appear and punish her by her personal violence, her hybris. Foetus hides a tumorous tissue who is growing like a twin in the uterus of our hybrised woman. So goes the story in Bad Couple. I already finish my 103rd step, my 103rd watched Korean series, Bad Couple, and I have to establish that the second part is by far a lot more interesting that the first part. Although for me the more interesting plot is not the main one but the subplot where the cheated lady fell in love with a chaebol who hides his condition and appears to her as a model. It is really a great moment, when Han Young, the cheated lady played by, a reverence, Choi Jung Yoon, says goodbye to Joon Soo, played by Yoo Geon, and she claims, you are really my first love. Wow, an already 10-year wife acknowledging herself as a real woman something that many women in this world never realize. They just got into marriage because so the society ask to them for and thinking that the love is going to be built with the convivence or so is it according to everyone but, bad news, love is something too precious to just arrive for a bad couple. When I reviewed the images of this series in my head, my question was, who were really the bad couple in the title? Not the ones for the main plot, this is, the professor and the woman with hybris are never a bad couple, most of the series they are hardly a couple, nor the best friend to the woman with hybris who is in a marriage to a wanna be photographer to whom she is really supportive although her main interest is giving her daughter an above the average and above her possibilities life, much less the best couple in the series, the one created by the second best friend to the woman with hybris, the cheated lady with the mode. This couple is extraordinarily well built and strangely it ends with them separated. The two really bad couples are the cheated lady and her husband, and him and the doctor with who he cheats his wife who gives him the foot and goes to US for learning a new cancer healing technique to defy the Greek gods and save the woman with hybris, Kim Dang Ja played by Shin Eun Kyung, her natural archenemy after coming into knowledge who the rival to her second best friend is. Maybe they could have waited some years, 12 give or take and sending her to Yulje where Seok Hyeong, played by Kim Dae Myung in Hospital Playlist, my 13th step and an outstanding series which has already two seasons, surely will save her as he does to a 5 month pregnant lady in the second of the two seasons of the fore-mentioned series. In Bad Couple, with medical technology 13 years older, they need to wait Dang Ja got into her 7 month pregnancy to save her. It is interesting to revisit a feeling I got when I was 14 years old while reading Vargas Llosa's Aunt Julia and the Scriptwriter, when Pedro Camacho, the scriptwriter in such a novel, start mixing all his scripts and the characters stop pertaining to only one radio novel and become omnipresent. Something like manghwa character Kang Chul, the Athens 2004 shooting gold medallist played by Lee Jong Suk in W, my 40th step, who appears with the same age and Olympics shooting competitor attire but in 2016 reality in Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo, my in progress 105th step. Pedro Camacho would feel himself in the heaven of the omnipresent, omniscient and eternal characters with Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo and I feel I could make a Pedro Camacho like mingled drama among Hospital Playlist and several others, as a I set the example with Bad Couple. I really enjoy the invasion of others in the dramas I watch. Go Ah Ra, three reverences, being herself twice, in Producer, my 97th step and in the very same Hospital Playlist first season, is kind of a dream become dorama.
