Bad couple
This is a blog where I will enregister thoughts as I am watching Korean series. I am in my 102nd visit. So I am not new to Korean series in length but I am new in time. Now I visit my new chosen series not for others' recommendation but for particular interests.
Please do not read this if you have not seen the series and you are planning to see it because I really forward the plot. I am not going to apologize for doing so.
I started watching Bad couple because Choi Jung Yoon. And I am surprised how the plot just slide from the screenwriter's hands out to her. For me the Han Young's, Jung Yoon character, story is by a lot more interesting that the main plot. The main plot is kind of boring. A professor, played by Ryu Soo Young whom I saw in Seoul 1945, an excellent account of the two Koreas forming, facing his first love with a very nine-tailed fox lady is not a nice thing to see. It has good moments of course and the fox's feeling of not being enough is kind of sad but it is not a story to be developed in sixteen chapters. However, the subplot, a model faking to be a new boyfriend to a really nice good looking abandoned and cheated wife is really what I am waiting to see while watching chapter after chapter. I want to say I am in the eighth of them, so, I am in the middle of the story but I wanted to recommend this series. I have found in this 101 Korean series path that they are really interesting. I am not familiar with series from other countries, I have seen not even a twenty percent of the amount of Korean series that I have just watched after coming into the knowledge of such a fantastic heritage to the human culture. And I want to say I started watching them just in February of this year. My comparison to other countries' series maybe is poor. Before starting Korean my Hallyu promenade I watched some and I did not really get caught by any country in particular. My preferred ones before coming to be involved forever with Dae Han Min Gug invention were Germany's Dark, USA's Legion, Spain's The Heist and Finland's Sorjonen. Maybe so you can understand my type of interests. However, with Korean series I have visited all the rainbow. I do not mind if they are melodramatic or deeply scientific oriented, I just love the way in which Korean screenwriters reflect their country. In the end, I think, they are selling South to North and maybe, they are getting it. As far as I am from such places, I just want to say that in such a pursue they developed unforgettable characters, plots and feelings inside me and they really have sold me forever their country. Why do you watch Korean series? I asked myself some time ago. My answer is: They give me all the love I do not have in my real life. There are those that are drug addicts or alcoholics or workaholics or some other fetiche orientation to fulfill their lacks. I am Hallyuholic.
J'ai dit.
